Tajikistan expecting Putin's visit - Russian Federation Council speaker

DUSHANBE. Feb 25 (Interfax) - Tajikistan is expecting a visit from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said.

"This year is milestone for us; we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Tajikistan is expecting an official visit by the president of Russia," Matviyenko told journalists following a meeting with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe.

She said she thoroughly informed the Tajik president about the situation in Ukraine and gave him Putin's regards.
