Rostelecom says restrictions on raising capital in forex won't affect its operations

MOSCOW. Feb 24 (Interfax) - The restrictions on raising capital in foreign currency will not affect Rostelecom's operations, as the company's debt portfolio is fully denominated in Russian rubles, Rostelecom told Interfax.

"Our portfolio of raised funds is fully denominated in rubles. These restrictions on raising funds in foreign currency won't affect the company's operations," it said.

It has been reported that, as part of the newly-announced sanctions, the U.S. banned the raising of capital through the issuance of new debt or equity by a number of Russian companies, including Rostelecom.
