Biden says not planning talks with Putin
WASHINGTON, D.C. Feb 24 (Interfax) - United States President Joe Biden said on Thursday he is not planning negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the moment.
"I have no plans to talk to Putin," Biden said in his remarks at the White House on Thursday.
He also did not rule out that the U.S. might impose personal sanctions on Putin.
Asked by a journalist at a press conference why not impose such sanctions already now, Biden did not answer.
Describing the current relationship between the U.S. and Russia at a reporter's request, Biden replied, "There is a complete rupture right now in U.S.-Russia relations if they continue on this path they're on."
