Kazakhstan aims to develop nuclear power sector - Tokayev

MOSCOW. Feb 10 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan plans to develop its own nuclear power sector, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

An important step in this direction will be the agreement signed with Russia to train specialists for nuclear power facilities, Tokayev told Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Thursday. "This is the first step in this direction. I think we will further move towards creating this separate, special important sector - nuclear power - in Kazakhstan," Tokayev said.
