Gazprom Neft acquires 51% in fueling complex of Osh International Airport in Kyrgyzstan

MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax) - PJSC Gazprom Neft has included Gazprom Neft Aero Osh LLC into the list of affiliated entities at the end of 2021, the oil company said in its materials.

Gazprom Neft-Aero, the operator of Gazprom Neft's aviation fuel business, completed a deal to acquire a 51% stake in the authorized capital of the refueling complex at Osh International Airport in Kyrgyzstan, the Gazprom Neft press service told Interfax. "The new enterprise will provide 'in-wing' fueling for domestic and international flights at the nation's second largest airport by passenger traffic. Aviation fuel is to be supplied from Gazprom Neft's Omsk Refinery," the press service said.

Osh Airport is a transportation hub linking the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan with the capital Bishkek. In addition to domestic air travel, there are international flights from the airport to more than 30 destinations, including Moscow, Delhi and Istanbul. Flights are operated by Avia Traffic, Air Manas, Tez Jet, Jazeera Airways, Aeroflot, S7 Group, Nordwind, Ural Airlines and others.

"One of the key areas of Gazprom Neft-Aero's development strategy through 2030 is the expansion of its own sales network to over 100 fueling complexes. The new aviation fuel asset in Osh became the company's 66th refueling complex and the second in Kyrgyzstan. Previously, we began fueling aircraft in 2011 at Manas, the nation's central airport. The acquisition of the Osh refueling complex was an important investment in the development of the aviation fuel network," Vladimir Yegorov, Gazpromneft-Aero general director, was quoted as saying in the press service's statement.

Gazprom Neft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft that sells jet fuel and refuels aircraft in more than 320 airports in 71 countries. More than 150 Russian and foreign airlines are customers of Gazprom Neft-Aero.
