Google pays 8.5 mln rubles in fines

MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - Russian court bailiffs have enforced the payment of all debts on fines by Google for its failure to delete content banned in Russia.

The Federal Bailiffs Service database indicates that only one non-material case is currently active against the company, which concerns its obligation to stop displaying webpages related to Smart Voting in its search results under an arbitration court ruling.

Russian court bailiffs earlier handled three other enforcement proceedings totaling 8.5 million rubles against Google for its failure to delete content banned in Russia, which have been closed now.
