Army 2021 forum's business program focused on AI systems - deputy chief of Russian General Staff

KUBINKA, Moscow region. Aug 27 (Interfax) - Artificial intelligence was a key item on the agenda of the business program of the Army 2021 international military-technical forum, Russian General Staff Deputy Chief Lt. Gen. Vasily Trushin told reporters.

"The development and use of artificial intelligence systems, the use of super-computer technologies, the development of robotic systems and many other breakthrough technologies were highlighted," Trushin said when summing up the results of the forum's business program.

The forum serves as a venue for direct dialogue between designers and heads of defense enterprises, leading researchers, public figures, and defense and security specialists, he said.

Almost 12,000 specialists from various countries took part in the Army 2021 business program, acting head of the Russian Defense Ministry's Main Research and Development Directorate Maj. Gen. Dmitry Gorbatenko said.

The forum hosted 211 business program events, including 138 roundtables, Gorbatenko said.
