Zarubezhneft looking into entering three projects in Kazakhstan

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - Russian oil company Zarubezhneft is considering three joint projects with KazMunayGaz in Kazakhstan.

"We are looking at two clusters in Southeast Asia. One cluster is CIS countries - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, where we plan to expand. We have good relations with our colleagues from Uzbekneftegaz. The meetings at the economic forum in St. Petersburg went very well; we are considering three joint projects together with KazMunayGaz. Hopefully, we will soon be working there too," Zarubezhneft head Sergei Kudryashov said in an interview on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

The company currently has no assets in Kazakhstan.

Zarubezhneft and Uzbekneftegaz created a JV earlier - LLC Andijanpetro, which develops three oil fields: South Alamyshik, Khartum, and East Khartum in the Fergana Valley.
