Russia to resume flights with 5 countries on May 25

MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - Russia is resuming air travel with Iceland, Malta, Mexico, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia on May 25, the coronavirus prevention operational headquarters said.

"The operational headquarters for the prevention of the importation and spread of the novel coronavirus in Russia, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, has decided to open air travel with Iceland, Malta, Mexico, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia on a mutual basis on May 25," the headquarters told reporters on Friday.

Flights to Iceland (Moscow-Reykjavik) will be twice a week. Flights to Malta will also be twice a week (Moscow to Valetta). Flights to Mexico will be three times a week (Moscow-Cancun), and flights to Portugal will be three times a week (Moscow-Lisbon).

With Saudi Arabia, there will be three weekly flights from Moscow, one from Grozny, and one from Makhachkala to Jeddah.
