Russia registers 8,386 new Covid-19 cases, 376 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ
MOSCOW. May 7 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 8,386 new cases of Covid-19 and 376 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.
"Over the past day, 8,386 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in 83 regions of Russia, including 1,154 asymptomatic cases identified proactively (13.8%)," the headquarters said.
As of this moment, Russia has registered a total of 4,863,514 cases of Covid-19, including 112,622 deaths and 4,480,360 recoveries, among them 8,022 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases (the total number of cases minus all recoveries and deaths) currently stands at 270,532.
According to the headquarters, Moscow has seen 2,846 new cases of Covid-19, 60 deaths, and 2,262 recoveries in the past 24 hours.
