National Space Center to open in Fili in 2022 - Roscosmos head Rogozin

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - The National Space Center will be commissioned next to a rocket plant in Fili in 2022, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said on Twitter on Thursday.

"The National Space Center is under construction next to the rocket plant of the Khrunichev Center. Construction will be completed in 2022," Rogozin said.

The center, which will have an area of 250,000 square meters, will provide 20,000 engineers and designers with workspace.

The building of the National Space Center, with an approximate cost of 25 billion rubles, will be erected at the expense of the Moscow budget. The tower will be 248 meters high. Besides the Roscosmos headquarters, it will accommodate a techno-park of the aircraft and space industry. Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the National Space Center project in 2019.
