Putin discusses Sputnik V delivery to Mexico with its president, training of Mexican specialists in Russia - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Mexican counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Monday, the Kremlin said.

"Both sides noted the constructive and mutually beneficial nature of Russian-Mexican relations which are developing successfully in a variety of areas," the press service said.

"[The presidents] discussed in detail the problems of countering the spread of the coronavirus infection and providing epidemic safety" and "organizing Russian Sputnik V vaccine shipments to Mexico and the training of Mexican medical specialists in Russia," the press service said.

Putin wished the Mexican president, who was diagnosed with Covid-19, a swift and full recovery. It was agreed to continue communication, the Kremlin said.
