Chumakov Center presents its coronavirus vaccine to Russian Health Ministry for registration

MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - The Russian Health Ministry has received the documents necessary to register the country's third coronavirus vaccine, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

"The Russian Health Ministry has received a package of documents for registering the third Russian vaccine for the prevention of the novel coronavirus, which has been developed by the Chumakov Federal Scientific Center for Research and Development of Immune-and-Biological Products of the Russian Academy of Sciences," Murashko said during a teleconference with regional representatives on Wednesday.

The documents have been submitted for evaluation, and a decision on state registration will be made upon its completion, he said.

Over 375,000 two-component doses of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine have been deployed this week, and vaccine supply to the regions is increasing, Murashko said.
