Russia's Finance Ministry to nominate Podguzov for CEO of EDB

MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - The Russian government has confirmed the upcoming appointment of Russian Post first deputy CEO Nikolai Podguzov to the position of chief executive of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

The Finance Ministry will submit Podguzov's candidacy for appointment as head of the EDB, the government press service said, citing an order signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"The issue of electing the chairman of the EDB management board is scheduled for consideration at the upcoming meeting of the bank's board. It is scheduled for June 30," the press service said.

Podguzov, who is currently first deputy CEO and director of strategic development at Russian Post, will succeed Andrei Belyaninov as head of the EDB, sources told Interfax earlier.
