Transport security failure makes Domodedovo blast possible - minister
MOSCOW. Jan 31 (Interfax) - The terror act at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport resulted from a transport security failure, Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said at a transport security conference.
"We failed, but others failed too. Everyone in charge of transport security failed," he said.
"The impudent terror act showed how vulnerable every transportation facility is," he said.
"Hence, we must ensure transport security," he added.
The minister ordered his staff "to make a critical analysis of the provision of transport security."
"Let us be frank, let us not smooth things over," he said.
