Krasnoyarsk GES produces 23.2 bln kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2010
KRASNOYARSK. Feb 1 (Interfax) - OJSC Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Station (GES) produced 23.19 billion kilowatts hours of electricity in 2010, the station said in a statement.
The statement said that this was a 0.04% increase over its record 2009 results and 27% above over the average yearly result.
"The increase in output was driven by favorable hydrological conditions throughout 2010 in the Krasnoyarsk's resivoir system, modernization of the station's main equipment and effective production management," the statement said.
OJSC Krasnoyarsk GES is second largest electricity generating enterprise with 6,000 megawatts in installed capacity. The station meets over 50% of Krasnoyarsk Territory's electricity demand. According to the list of affiliated entities for the third quarter of 2010, OJSC Eurosibenergo (the power division of En+ Group) owns 68.29% in Krasnoyarsk GES. OJSC RusHydro currently is closing the acquisition of a blocking packet in the company from shareholders in Siberian Coal and Energy Company (SUEK).
