Sberbank to raise 1.2 trln rubles in new deposits in 2011, boost total deposits by 25%
MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - Sberbank plans to increase total new deposits by 20% to 1.2 trillion rubles in 2011 from 1 trillion rubles raised in 2010, Natalia Konovalova, the bank's director for managing deposits and consumer investment products, told journalists on Wednesday.
"We plan to raise more this year than we brought in last year. Raised deposits last year came to 1 trillion rubles. This year our craving is 1.2 trillion rubles," she said.
It was earlier reported that Sberbank increased individual deposits in 2010 by 27.4% to 4.81 trillion rubles. Therefore, the bank plans to boost total deposits by 24.95% to 6.01 trillion rubles this year.
