Investigators accuse Energomash owner of obtaining loan unlawfully - Interior Ministry
MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Investigators have sufficient evidence proving the involvement of Energomash group main owner Alexander Stepanov in unlawful measures to secure a loan worth 12.7 billion rubles, the deputy chief of the Russian Interior Ministry's Investigative Committee, Alexander Matveyev, said.
"Sufficient evidence was collected proving his [Stepanov's] involvement in this crime, after which charges were filled and pre-trial restrictions in the form of detention were chosen," Matveyev said at a news conference at the Interfax central office in Moscow on Thursday.
"The cost of the episode he is accused of stands at 12.7 billion rubles," he said.
