Russian bank lending, excluding Sberbank, came to zero in Jan - CB
MOSCOW. Feb 9 (Interfax) - Lending on the part of banks in Russia, excluding Sberbank , came to zero for January 2011, Alexei Simanovsky, the director of the Central Bank's regulatory and oversight department, told journalists.
"In terms of lending it was, in fact, zero. There were no changes," he said, adding that these stats did not include Sberbank.
"It is possible that the statistic with Sberbank will have a significant result," Simanovsky said.
