Stocks mixed at open on MICEX; index down 0.14% in first minute
MOSCOW. Feb 11 (Interfax) - Stocks were mixed at the open of trading on the MICEX exchange on Friday, amid rising oil prices and continued weakness on stock exchanges abroad due to the crisis in Egypt.
The MICEX index was down 0.14% to 1,674.5 points as of 10:31 a.m. and the RTS index was down 0.06% to 1,845.9 points.
Advancers on MICEX included VTB - up 0.4%, Polyus Gold - 0.2%, Rostelecom - 0.2%, Surgutneftegas - 0.1% and Tatneft - 0.8%.
Among decliners, Gazprom fell 0.2%, Gazprom Neft was down 0.3%, MMC Norilsk Nickel shed 0.1%, Lukoil declined 0.4% and Rosneft - down 0.2%.
