Gazprom reorganizes government relations department

MOSCOW. Feb 14 (Interfax) - Gazprom has created a department for relations with the Russian Federation authorities from the department for relations with the regions and the department for relations with the Federal Assembly, Gazprom told Interfax.

Viktor Ilyushin, a member of the Gazprom management committee, will head the new department.

The department for relations with the Federal Assembly had reported directly to Deputy CEO Valery Golubev. The former head of the department, Fanuza Arslanova, has left Gazprom to take up the duties of deputy governor of Khanty-Mansii autonomous district, to lead the district's representation at the federal level.

"The merger of these divisions was carried out as part of the optimization of Gazprom's internal structure and aims at raising the effectiveness of work with the authorities at various levels, from the municipal to the federal level." Gazprom said.
