Belarus counts on receiving $2 bln from EurAsEC anti-crisis fund

MINSK. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The government of Belarus is asking the EurAsEC for a loan of up to $2 billion from its anti-crisis fund, Deputy Premier Sergei Rumas told the press in Minsk on Wednesday.

"The government is considering the possibility of borrowing up to $2 billion from the EurAsEC anti-crisis fund," Rumas said.

Meanwhile, Belarusian Finance Minister Andrei Kharkovets said that a corresponding application was submitted and that the quota of Belarus amounts to about $1.7 billion.
