Kazakhtelecom ups consolidated revenue 6.4% in 2010

ALMATY. Feb 17 (Interfax) - JSC Kazakhtelecom posted consolidated unaudited revenues of 153.222 billion tenge (146.36/$1) for 2010, or up 6.4% year-on-year, the company says in a statement.

The net profit came to 34.314 billion tenge last year, or 26% above the target. As at the end of 2010 the company's assets were valued at 373.219 billion tenge, the equity capital at 238.636 billion tenge.

As reported, in 2009 the unaudited consolidated net profit of Kazakhtelecom amounted to 27.317 billion tenge. As at December 31, 2009 the company's assets stood at 365.452 billion tenge, the equity capital at 209.587 billion tenge.

Kazakhtelecom is a leading communication operator in Kazakhstan holding a dominant position on the domestic market of telecommunication services.

The main shareholders of JC Kazakhtelecom are: the Kazakh National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" (45.9%), Deran Services Limited (British Virgin Islands, 8.65%) and Bodam B.V. (the Kingdom of the Netherlands, 15.18%).
