Sovcomflot revenue totaled $1.3 bln in 2010

MOSCOW. Feb 18 (Interfax) - Sovcomflot had $1.3 billion in revenue in 2010, First Deputy General Director Nikolai Kolesnikov told Interfax, citing preliminary data.

EBITDA last year was about $600 million, he said.

The group plans to present its IFRS results for 2010 at the start of April.

Sovcomflot's IFRS net profit in 2009 came to $217 million, sales revenue - $1.2 billion and EBITDA - $550 million. Therefore, sales revenue for 2010 could go up by 8.3% and EBITDA - up 9%.

At the end of last year, Sovcomflot had consolidated 86% of the shares in OJSC Novorossiysk Shipping Company (NOMP). This stake will be boosted to 100% by 2012.

Sovcomflot Group is first in the world in terms of food, arctic and reinforced gas tankers and second in terms of Aframax tankers. Following a new tanker acquisition, the company will have 157 vessels with over 12 million tonnes deadweight. This will give Sovcomflot the second position in the rating for world tanker companies. In addition to transporting oil, gas and petroleum products, Sovcomflot provides technical management and bulk storage services. The state is the sole shareholder in the group.
