Xishan Coal aims for 48.50 mln tons of coal output in 2011

Shanghai. February 22. INTERFAX-CHINA - Xishan Coal Electricity Group Co. Ltd., a large Shanxi Province-based coal producer, set a 2011 coal output target of 48.50 million tons, the company announced Feb. 21.

According to company statistics, Xishan Coal reported a 2010 coal output of 46.06 million tons, recording sales revenue of RMB 33 billion ($5 billion).

The company said it hopes to boost annual coal output to 100 million tons by 2015. By that time, it also plans to produce 10 million tons of coke, six million tons of chemicals and have an installed power capacity of over six million kilowatts (kW).

Xishan Coal set a minimum sales revenue target of RMB 100 billion ($15.15 billion) for 2015.
