AIOC boosts investment in ACG project 21% to over $2 bln in 2010
BAKU. March 2 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) fields, boosted investment in the project 21.3% last year to $2.074 billion, the company told Interfax.
This included $426 million operating costs and $1.648 billion capex.
Oil production from the fields rose 0.7% to 40.6 million tonnes.
Average daily output was 823,000 barrels, of which the Chirag platform produced 93,200 barrels, Central Azeri - 205,300 barrels, Western Azeri - 248,200 barrels, Eastern Azeri - 140,700 barrels and the Gunashli deepwater rig - 135,600 barrels.
AIOC supplied the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) with 3.4 billion cubic meters of associated gas - 1.9 bcm more than planned.
