Gazprom chief meets with head of Vietnamese national oil and gas group
MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - The chief executive of Russia's Gazprom , Alexei Miller, and the president and chief executive of Vietnamese oil and gas company Petrovietnam, Phung Dinh Thuc, on Thursday discussed proposed future activities by for the Gazpromviet joint venture.
Gazpromviet needs a larger resource base, it was said at the meeting, according to a Gazprom statement.
On Monday, a Gazprom-Petrovietnam working group discussed a proposal for cooperation in developing the Severo-Purovskoye gas condensate field in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous district in Russia and fields in Russia's Sakha (Yakutia) republic.
The Gazprom and Petrovietnam chiefs decided to resume their dialogue on proposed more extensive cooperation at the second meeting of the joint coordinating committee this month, the statement said.
