Sergei Katyrin elected president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - Sergei Katyrin has been elected to the post of president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI).

His candidacy was approved at the 6th RF CCI session on Friday in Moscow, an Interfax correspondent reported.

Katyrin's candidacy received 433 votes in favor from the 437 delegates. Four delegates abstained.

CCI President Yevgeny Primakov said Igor Zharinov, the head of the chamber of commerce in Novorossiisk, had also been nominated.
