Three injured in methane explosion in Kazakhaltyn mine
KOKSHETAU. March 5 (Interfax) - A methane blast that rocked a Kazakhaltyn mine in Bestobe, Akmola region, injured three miners, the prosecutor of the city of Stepnogorsk told Interfax on Saturday.
The blast occurred at 10:30 p.m. on Friday at the 700-meter level of the Western mine.
Three miners, aged 25, 34 and 37 years, suffered severe burns and were hospitalized.
An emergency commission is investigating the accident.
