Copper imports dip in February

Shanghai. March 14. INTERFAX-CHINA - China imported 235,469 tons of unwrought copper (copper cathode, copper anode and copper alloy) and semi-finished copper products in February, down 35.35 percent on a monthly basis, according to preliminary statistics released by the General Administration of Customs (GAC) March. 10.

China's aluminum and alumina imports also witnessed month-on-month decreases in February, with unwrought aluminum (primary aluminum and aluminum alloy) and semi-finished aluminum product imports down 37.47 percent to 60,202 tons, and alumina imports down 35.29 percent to 220,000 tons.

Unwrought aluminum exports also fell, down 44.97 percent month-on-month to 32,589 tons.

The tables below show China's copper, aluminum and alumina imports, as well as aluminum exports, in February 2011.
