China consumed 313.6 mln MWh of electricity February 2011 - NEA

Shanghai. March 15. INTERFAX-CHINA - China consumed 313.6 million megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity in February 2011, up 15.82 percent year-on-year, according to statistics released by National Energy Administration (NEA) on March 14.The industry sector boosted its energy consumption by 13.44 percent year-on-year, to 213.2 million MWh, in February.The first two months of 2011, the country used 702.5 million MWh, up 12.32 percent year-on-year. The industry sector consumed 498.4 million MWh of electricity over the same period, up 11.29 percent year-on-year.-TW
