TNK-BP to build oil, gas treatment unit at Zakorskaya field group
MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - TNK-BP plans to construct an oil and gas treatment unit (OGTU) at the Zagorskaya group of fields in Orenburg Region, the company's website says.
"The Zagorskaya OGTU has been designed to handle 550 million cubic metres of gas and over 1.5 million tonnes of oil per year", Oleg Pantyushin, head of the Bobrovskaya group of fields at Orenburgneft, said in the company statement. "For comparison, the Vakhitovskaya unit in Perevolotskiy District with a capacity of 210 million cubic meters of gas is currently one of the biggest."
Preparatory work and economic calculations are now being done, and a tender has been announced for the building and survey work, the company said.
TNK-BP also plans to build new pipelines to move gas from the Zagorskaya OGTU to the Orenburg and Zaikinsky gas refineries.
