Cabinet expects reserve fund to reach 1.5Tln rubles in 2011 - Putin

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has said that according to Cabinet plans the reserve fund should amount to 1.5 trillion rubles in 2011.

"We assumed that last year, at the end of 2010 we would be left with merely 250 billion rubles in the reserve fund. Instead we came to January 1 this year with a different figure, with 745 billion. Which means that we did not eat it up but boosted it instead. This year we plan that it will be somewhere around 1.5 trillion rubles," he said in an interview with Russia and Moya Planeta (My Planet) channels during a visit to Khakassia on Sunday.

He also said that there was confidence during the crisis that Russia would be able to overcome it because, in his opinion, Russia pursued a correct economic policy and its economy "matured, became different over the last decades."
