Russia could double oil supplies to Japan to 18 mln t in 2011 - Sechin
MOSCOW. March 22 (Interfax) - Russia could double oil shipments to Japan to 18 million tonnes in 2011, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin told reporters.
"We supplied 9.1 million tonnes of oil and 3.5 million tonnes of petroleum products to Japan in 2010. The oil supplies will approximately double to 18 million tonnes in 2011," Sechin said.
He said petroleum product shipments to Japan could go up by 1 million tonnes in 2011.
Sechin did not say where the additional oil and petroleum products would come from this year, but he did say Russia might soon finish building the second phase of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline.
