TNK-BP wants to extend Rospan's pipeline access to 2020

MOSCOW. March 24 (Interfax) - TNK-BP is in talks with Gazprom to extend until 2020 the agreement giving gas producer Rospan International access to Gazprom's pipeline system.

"We are working with Gazprom to extend the agreement on Rospan's pipeline access until 2020," he said.

TNK-BP had difficulty securing pipeline access for Rospan until it formed a joint venture with Gazprom subsidiary Mezhregiongaz, Novo-Urengoi Gas Company, which sells all of the gas and condensate Rospan produces. After that Gazprom boosted the volumes of Rospan gas it accepted into the Gas Transportation System. It shipped about 2.5 billion cubic meters of Rospan gas in 2009-2010.

Last summer, TNK-BP and Gazprom reached agreement on Rospan's gas deliveries to the gas transportation system until 2015: 3.2 bcm a year in 2011-2012; 8.5 bcm in 2013, 13.2 bcm in 2014 and 16.5 bcm in 2015.

Rospan International is developing the Vostochno Urengoi section in Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district and the Novo-Urengoi section (the licenses to both sections expires in 2018). Rospan's C1+C2 reserves amount to 890.8 bcm of gas and 133.3 million tonnes of condensate.
