Moscow's Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo airports could be amalgamated

MOSCOW. March 28 (Interfax) - Moscow's Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports, which are controlled by the state and the City of Moscow, could be amalgamated, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on the Moscow aviation hub's development.

"The Transport Ministry and the City have agreed to amalgamate Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo," Putin said.

He said the complex would be worth "tens of billions of rubles." It could in time be privatized, he said.
