KSP Steel to build a second phase of the pipe plant worth 4 bl tenge

PAVLODAR. March 28 (Interfax) - A Pavlodar-based subsidiary of KSP Steel Ltd. (ill start the construction of a second phase of the pipe rolling plant in the second half of 2011, the regional department for entrepreneurship and industry told Interfax-Kazakhstan.

The cost of the project is 4 billion tenge (145.62/$1), the production capacity is 170,000 tons a year.

According to the information provided, the total design capacity of the plant will come to 270,000 tons of seamless pipes a year in 2012, after the project is completed.

KSP Steel Ltd. was organized in 2006 to produce seamless pipes of various diameters for the oil ad gas sector of Kazakhstan. The plant was put into operation in December 2007. The cost of the project was $800 million.
