List of investment climate-improvement measures could grow - Medvedev
MAGNITOGORSK. March 30 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said that the list of measures aimed at improving the country's investment climate announced on Wednesday could in the future be expanded.
"The decisions have all been made, and they should be carried out in full. These ten points will not be enough, we will add dozens more," Medvedev said after a modernization committee meeting in Magnitogorsk on Tuesday.
After the measures were announced, Medvedev said, the government "will have extra work and this is a definite test for the government."
"On the other hand, there is good news. The World Bank has just predicted Russia will have a zero budget deficit by 2012, so I am hoping that in these conditions you will be able to work through all ten points, you won't be hesitant, because I know there is wavering, as I've had preliminary consultations with members of the government," the president said to the meeting attendees, among them members of Russia's cabinet of ministers.
