Voloshin chairs Norilsk Nickel board

MOSCOW. April 1 (Interfax) - Former Russian presidential administration chief Alexander Voloshin was elected chairman of the board of directors at MMC Norilsk Nickel on Friday, the company said.

UC Rusal nominated Voloshin for the board, and Interros, Norilsk Nickel's other major shareholder, expressed a willingness to support his appointment as board chairman.

The board also scheduled this year's AGM for June 21. The cut-off date is May 16.

The board on April 1 also elected committee chairmen: Strategy Committee - Bradford Mills; Budget Committee - Andrei Bougrov; Audit Committee - Claude Dauphin; and Corporate Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committee - Marianna Zakharova.
