Russian gas production up 0.6% in Jan-Mar

MOSCOW. April 4 (Interfax) - Russia produced 182.776 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas over the first three months of this year, a 0.6% year-on-year increase, according to current figures compiled by the Fuel and Energy Dispatch Center (TsDU TEK).

January-February gas production was down 0.5% year-on-year. There was 61.537 bcm of gas produced in Russia just in March.

OJSC Gazprom extracted 141.5 bcm of gas over the first three months and 47.649 bcm in March.

NOVATEK , one of the largest independent gas producers in the country, extracted 13.375 bcm of gas in January-March and 4.361 bcmjust in March. Other oil-producers extracted 5.347 bcm over the three months and 1.854 bcm in March, and production-sharing operators - 6.626 bcm (2.231 bcm).

Vertically integrated oil companies produced 15.928 bcm of gas in January-March (5.442 bcm last month).

Lukoil extracted 3.982 bcm of gas over the three months (1.373 bcm in March), Surgutneftegas - 3.189 bcm (1.078 bcm), TNK-BP Holding - 3.079 bcm (1.032 bcm), Rosneft - 2.972 bcm (1.008 bcm), and Gazprom Neft - 1.763 bcm (0.605 bcm).
