Ex-Moscow mayor's wife Baturina twice fails to report for questioning - source
MOSCOW. Apr 6 (Interfax) - Yelena Baturina, the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov and the head of the Inteco construction giant, has been summoned to an investigator twice to be questioned as a witness in a massive fraud probe but ignored both summonses, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax.
"Since the moment the criminal investigation was opened, two summonses for Baturina have been forwarded to Inteco's office in Moscow so that she appears as a witness, but the company head has still not reported to the law enforcement agencies," the source said.
It was reported earlier that investigators are probing possible fraud with a loan amounting to about 13 billion rubles granted by Bank of Moscow to the company Premier Estate. Investigators suspect that the money later made its way to Baturina's personal bank accounts.
