Kyrgyz steps towards Customs Union, Common Economic Space display readiness for integration - Shuvalov
MOSCOW. April 11 (Interfax) - Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov welcomes the Kyrgyz government's decision to set up an interdepartmental commission for negotiating the accession of Kyrgyzstan to the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space.
Kyrgyz First Deputy Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov told Shuvalov about the decision in Moscow on Monday.
"Thank you, that is important," Shuvalov said.
"The governmental decision is a tangible step towards integration," he said.
The next integration step of Kyrgyzstan will be discussed at a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) meeting in Yalta on April 15, he said.
Kyrgyzstan has a lot of difficulties to cope with, but Russia is prepared to help the fraternal people of Kyrgyzstan in doing that, Shuvalov said.
