Mortgage loan volume could reach 580 bln rubles in 2011 - Putin

MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - The volume of mortgage lending in Russia could reach as much as 580 billion rubles this year, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told the State Duma in a report on government activities.

"By our estimates, There will be about 540-580 billion rubles worth of mortgage loans issued in 2011," Putin said.

The pre-crisis level of 650 billion rubles will be topped in 2012, the prime minister said.
