5 trillion rubles provided to upgrade, develop navy - Putin

MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - An unprecedented 5 trillion rubles have been provided to modernize the Russian Navy, said Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

"For the first time in Russia's modern history, a large-scale allocation of about 5 trillion rubles has been made available to develop and upgrade the navy," Putin said in a yearly report on the government's performance in the State Duma on Wednesday.
