Russian money supply up 1.3% to 19.8 trillion rubles in March - CB
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Russia's money supply (M2) in national definition increased by 1.3% to 19.787 trillion rubles from 19.531 trillion rubles in March, the Central Bank of Russia said on its website.
The money supply decreased by 1.1% in January-March, from 20.012 trillion rubles on January 1.
Total cash money supply (MO) increased by 0.4% to 4.916 trillion rubles in March from 4.892 trillion rubles. Total cash supply went down by 2.9% in January-March, from 5.063 trillion rubles on January 1.
Total non-cash funds increased by 1.6% to 14.871 trillion rubles in March from 14.639 trillion rubles. Total non-cash funds went down 0.52%, from 14.949 trillion rubles, in January-March.
M2 is defined as total cash in circulation (outside banks) and balances in the domestic currency on accounts of resident non-financial organizations, financial organizations (except for credit organizations) and individuals.
