Fuel-market problems will not impact spring planting - Skrynnik
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The problems Russia's market for fuel is experiencing will not affect the country's spring planting campaign, as there are fuel reserves, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said at a Thursday government presidium meeting in Moscow.
Growers will be getting fuel at a price 30% lower than market, Skrynnik said. "There are diesel fuel reserves for 26 days and gasoline for 17 days," she said, noting that fuel will be sold from wholesale depots.
Her ministry will resolve all fuel issues at meetings of a working group set up together with the Energy Ministry.
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has recommended that the Agriculture Ministry keep a constant eye on issues involving the provision of fuel to growers.
