Bashneft board of directors to vote on 2010 dividends on May 18
MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Bashneft's board of directors will convene on May 18 and vote on a dividend payout for 2010, a spokesperson for AFK Sistema , the main shareholder in Bashneft, told Interfax.
Sistema's senior vice president and CFO Alexei Buyanov earlier told journalists that Bashneft would "continue its policy for paying dividends. No changes in the dividend distribution are planned. The board of directors will make the final decision on total dividends".
Bashneft's shareholders decided to earmark 21.4 billion rubles for dividends for January-September 2010. The payment rate comes to 104.5 rubles per common and preferred share.
Bashneft did not pay interim dividends for 2009 but paid 22.445 billion rubles for that year's results. The payout rate was 109.65 ruble per common and preferred share.
Bashneft's charter capital consists of 204,792,440 shares (170,169,754 common shares and 34,622,686 preferred shares) at a face value of one ruble each. Sistema owns the controlling share packet in Bashneft.
