Medvedev signs law introducing hefty fines for bribery

GORKI. May 4 (Interfax) - President Dmitry Medvedev announced that he signed amendments to the criminal code and the code of administrative offences, which introduce huge fines for accepting and offering bribes.

"I have signed this law today. It introduces hefty fines for accepting and offering bribes, ranging from 25,000 rubles to 500 million rubles," Medvedev told Prosecutor General Yury Chaika.
