Kyiv makes $10 mln payment on Eurobond coupon
KYIV. May 4 (Interfax) - The city of Kyiv has made a $10-million coupon payment on an issue of 10-year Eurobonds totaling $250 million placed in 2005.
The city currently has three issues of Eurobonds in circulation: $200 million at 8.625% placed in July 2004 and maturing in 2011 (lead managers Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley); $250 million issued in October 2005 at 7.98% and maturing in 2015 (Citigroup and Credit Suisse); and $250 million issued in November 2007 at 8.25% and maturing in 2012 (Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and UBS).
It was reported earlier that Kyiv is working on various options for servicing and retiring the debt in 2011, including a restructuring using a new issue of bonds.
