Uzbekistan's trade surplus narrows one-third in Q1
TASHKENT. May 6 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan's trade surplus narrowed 33.3% year-on-year in Q1 2011 to $1.2 billion, the Economics Ministry and State Statistics Committee said in a joint press release.
Foreign trade turnover grew 32.6% to $5.7 billion, with exports up 28.5% to $3.5 billion and imports rising 37.5% to $2.2 billion.
The trade surplus widened 80% in 2010 to $4.247 billion. Foreign trade grew 3% to $21.842 billion.
